Who We Are
We are two professionals (educator and engineer) and former home educators who care about our students, about their experiences when they are in class with us, and about their goals and dreams. We know that standardized testing is not the only measure of academic success and that teenagers boast many more talents than a standardized test can ever measure, but a strong test score boosts an application. We also know that hard work is the true key to success, so we work hard for and with our students. As students’ scores increase, they become more confident, less afraid, and ready to face the college application process. We are here to help!

Jeanne Bern
English, Reading, & Writing Instructor
Jeanne Bern has been a teacher and a tutor for many years--more than she cares to reveal! She began her teaching career in private schools and later accepted a position at A. A. Stagg High School where she taught numerous writing, literature, and speech courses while coaching the speech team and directing plays. Jeanne brings her enthusiasm for English, reading, and writing to the classroom. Thousands of students have benefited greatly from her unique approach and her positive attitude. In fact, numerous students have achieved perfect English, reading, and writing scores after taking this course. English sections are easy with Jeanne as your teacher.
Jeanine Pawelczyk
Math & Science Instructor
Jeanine Pawelczyk is a former valedictorian of Andrew High School. She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from the College of Engineering at the University of Illinois/Urbana-Champaign and a Master's Degree in Information Systems from DePaul University. She worked as a programmer/systems analyst for Amoco Corporation for eight years. Jeanine homeschooled her five children through high school and now focuses on helping other students prepare for the math and data sections of the ACT and SAT. Students respect Jeanine's remarkable math skills and her proven ability to dramatically raise their scores in both of her subject areas.
